GuestWisely has made enhancements to the booking calendar. You can now personalize the display of your calendar, making your workspace feel distinctly yours.
Make your calendar work your way:
Border View
Choose whether bookings or blocks appear as solid tiles or outlined with borders for a cleaner layout.
Tint View
Choose the color intensity that suits your preference, from bold and vibrant to subtle and transparent.
More ways to stay organized:
- Sort properties alphanumerically or by custom order directly at the top right of the calendar.
- Use advanced filtering tools to display only bookings, tentative reservations, or any category you prefer.
Each user on your account, including sub-users, can customize the booking calendar based on their own preferences. Furthermore, GuestWisely allows you to combine the choice of Border View or Tint View with all other filters, giving you full flexibility to tailor and optimize your booking management experience.

1. Automated Damage Deposit Collection for Booking.com Guests
Managing deposits just got simplified. You can now automatically collect a damage deposit or place a hold on a guest’s card, even when:
- Booking.com collects payments and remits them to you, or
- A virtual credit card (VCC) is provided.
How it works:
- Set up an automated message on GuestWisely, requesting guests to provide new credit card details.
- These details will be used exclusively for the damage deposit or hold process.

2. Taxes on Channel Fees
Since Booking.com excludes taxes (e.g.: VAT, IVA, or GST, etc. depending on the country) from its fee calculations, additional manual adjustments were often required. To address this situation, GuestWisely has made new enhancements to its platform available for both Booking.com and Expedia.
Improvements for your financial accuracy:
- A new option on the Channel Fee page has been added.
- Applicable taxes can be added on top of the channel fee.

GuestWisely’s seamless integration with Vrbo facilitates the activation of Vrbo’s 20% new listing discount. This offer is automatically enabled by default for all users. Simply go to the Vrbo setup page on GuestWisely to manage your listings, you can enable the discount or deactivate it in “Step 5”.
Eligibility requirements:
- Vrbo activation project completed and listing is already live.
- The first listing went live on Vrbo no more than 90 days.
- The listing has fewer than 3 reservations or 3 reviews (note: imported reviews from your Direct Booking Site also count).
